SHKO

Stone House Kachelöfen began life when Jessica Steinhäuser emigrated from Germany to Canada at the age of 22. Jessica started selling her functional pottery the Guelph Farmers’ Market as well as at arts and craft fairs throughout Ontario in 1989. Things grew from there.

After two decades of success as a production potter she began the difficult transition to designing and creating custom Kachelöfen for the North American market.

In 2018 Stonehouse Pottery became Stone House Kachelöfen. The company incorporated in 2024, and hasn’t looked back since!

SHKO continues to create highly efficient, environmentally friendly wood burning Kachelöfen.

We design and create unique Kacheln and tiles for homeowners, tradespeople, designers and architects, and anyone needing customized ceramic handmade solutions.
