Bunny Stove

This large Franken Kachelofen is prominently positioned in the client’s main floor living area. The beautiful accent bunny tile was made by Mary Phillpot at Verdant Tile Studio in Uxbridge, Canada. Mary’s tilework is inspired by the “Landscape, Flora and Fauna of England and France, the colours of Provence, and mixed with the aesthetics of William Morris and the British Arts & Crafts Movement.”

We are big fans of Mary’s work, and enjoyed designing and building our oven around her tile.

This stove is a good example of how we can incorporate personal items into a stove. Someday we hope to build an oven that includes some salvaged historical Kacheln!
