London Pizza Oven

This outdoor pizza oven is one of our first projects which included reclaimed bricks. The clients live in London, Ontario. We found a local source for salvaged yellow brick to build the bulk of the oven. The trim sets are from the Franken line of Kacheln. There are a number of custom parts to this project. The keystone was built entirely by hand. The chimney collar was thrown on the pottery wheel. The arch over the oven door was customized for this project as well!

The pizza oven sits under a covered patio overlooking a beautiful yard. Because the oven is protected from the elements, we did not have to fire the Kacheln to a high temperature. We fired to our usual cone 06 level.
