St. Gallen

While researching historical Kachelöfen Jessica came across a photograph of a late nineteenth century antique stove in the St. Gallen canton in eastern Switzerland. The oven was originally in a modest farmhouse kitchen, and was notable for its simple rounded corners and clean design. Jessica tweaked the design a fair bit to balance out the crown, but the proportions of the kacheln and trim elements were maintained.

Jessica’s mother was born and raised in the St. Gallen area. Jessica has many fond memories of visits to the area, and so it seemed natural to name this oven after the area that inspired the design.
